Jupiter and Io

During my last astronomy service learning program meeting, we were collaborating a telescope. Then decided to find jupiter.

I'd actually taken a picture of Jupiter the week before, but it wasn't very good. This time I managed to get a better picture. And to top it off you can see one of it's moons. The moon is that speck you see in the photo by the e of my name. It is called Io.

It took a bit of tweeking in photoshop for the lines to be alot more visible. And this was the best I could get it. Trust me it's an improvement. The picture is very small.

Hope you all like it. At our next meeting I will try to get more pictures. Hopefully of the Moon. I'm also hoping for Saturn. =>

Again I know it's not the best picture. But I think it's pretty damn good for a Kodak Easy Share C913.
